How powder brows are done
The whole treatment takes two to three hours, and most of that time goes into what you do not see afterwards — drawing the shape.

Consultation and shape trial
The face is measured and an arch is drawn in pencil that will not change afterwards. This is the only step where everything can still be wiped off — if the shape is not right, say so now.
Choosing the pigment
The shade is chosen for the skin phototype and hair colour, and deliberately taken lighter than you would expect: pigment always looks darker on skin than in the bottle.
The first pass
The device deposits pigment in dots, in thin layers, from the tail of the brow towards the head. The head of the brow is worked lightest — that is where the powdered fade shows.
Building up and finishing
The second and third pass strengthen only where needed. Straight after the treatment the brows are darker and sharper than they will stay.
Straight after the treatment the brows are a shade or two darker than they will stay. That is not the artist's mistake but pigment still sitting in the upper layer of skin — it can only be judged after a month.
Powder brows price
The range is wide because the price carries the touch-up, the artist's experience and the city.
| Powder brows | 15,000 – 30,000 RSD |
|---|---|
| Japanese brow shading | 12,000 – 25,000 RSD |
| Microblading | 12,000 – 22,000 RSD |
| Touch-up after six weeks | 5,000 – 10,000 RSD |
When you ask about the price, ask whether the touch-up is included. In some salons it is in the first price, in others it is charged separately — and the touch-up is not an extra but part of the job, because without it you do not know how the brow will look.
Microblading or powder brows
You do not choose by what looks nicer in someone else's photo, but by what your skin is like.

Microblading cuts individual lines that mimic hairs. On dry to normal skin, where your own hairs are only being filled in, that is the most natural result there is. On oily skin and skin with enlarged pores the line diffuses over time and after a year can look like a smudge.
Powder brows have no lines, so there is nothing to diffuse. That makes them the only choice that holds on oily skin, and the only one that covers a brow with almost no hairs left. The price is similar and the healing is the same.
Japanese brow shading
The same approach to shading as powder brows, only with a hand tool instead of a device and with a softer, lighter finish. It lasts a little less, around a year and a half to two, and is more often chosen when you want a barely noticeable fill rather than a defined brow.

Permanent brow makeup — how long it lasts
Two to three years for powder brows, a year and a half to two for Japanese shading, one to two years for microblading. None of these techniques disappears overnight — it fades gradually, which is why a refresh is done before the brow “falls apart”.
It fades faster on oily skin, with frequent sun exposure, with acid peels in that area and with device facials worked over the brow. Slower on dry skin and with darker pigments.
Powder brows — what people say
What is heard most often from people who have had the treatment — and what sits behind it.
“In the first week I regretted it.” Almost a rule. The brows are darker, the edges sharper, and only after the flaking does the powdered fade appear — the very reason the technique is chosen.
“They came out lighter than I wanted.” Deliberately. The first pass is done lighter because pigment is easier to add than to take away — the touch-up after six weeks exists for exactly that reason.
“With another artist it looks different.” The shape is as much the artist's choice as the technique. That is why, before the treatment, you should ask to see a portfolio of healed brows rather than photos taken straight after — every brow looks good then.

Questions people ask most often
How long do powder brows last
Two to three years, then the colour gradually goes. On oily skin it fades faster, because the pigment holds less well. A refresh is usually done once a year.
Do powder brows hurt
They are done with an anaesthetic cream, so it is most often described as scratching rather than pain. It is more sensitive before a period and after coffee.
How long does healing take after powder brows
Seven days of scabbing and flaking, and the final colour only shows after four to six weeks. That is why the touch-up is not done sooner — before then you do not know what the skin has kept.
Which is better, powder brows or microblading
Microblading draws individual hairs and looks better on dry skin that still has its own hairs. Powder brows shade the whole brow and hold better on oily skin and skin with enlarged pores, where microblading lines diffuse.
What should be avoided after powder brows
Seven days without sauna, pool, sunbeds and gym, keeping the area dry and not picking the scabs. After healing, sun strips the pigment faster than anything else, so a sunscreen is recommended.
Who should not have powder brows
Pregnant and breastfeeding women, people on blood-thinning medication, with uncontrolled diabetes, a tendency to keloids or active inflammation of the skin in that area. This is not a complete list — a doctor decides on it, not a beautician.
